Microwave

Microwave ovens heat food using microwaves, a form of electromagnetic radiation similar to radio waves. Microwaves have three characteristics that allow them to be used in cooking: they are reflected by metal; they pass through glass, paper, plastic, and similar materials; and they are absorbed by foods.

What is the proper use of microwave oven?

To heat up food in a microwave, you must first make sure it is in a microwave-safe dish. If your dish has a microwave-safe lid, leave it on loosely to reduce splatter while also allowing steam to escape, then place the dish in the center of the turntable.

A microwave oven is a very versatile kitchen appliance that offers a whole range of uses. Microwave ovens can be used to reheat and cook food, disinfect kitchen items, make citrus fruits juicier, heat beauty products, roast garlic and de-crystallising honey.
